Eye Infection Treatment
You might suffer from an infection and need to stay away from work or any activities due to the irritation and pain. Here are some eye infection treatments to get rid of this problem.
Treatments for Eye Infection
Compress: Using a compress is an effective eye infection treatment. Use chamomile, lavender or rose oil to make a warm compress and apply it on your eyes using a cloth, 3 times in a day.
Aloe Vera: Aloe vera is known to be a good treatment for various skin and health problems. It can also be used for an eye infection treatment so as to soothe the eyes. Take fresh juice of aloe vera and soak it in a cloth. Place this cloth on your eyes for a cool feeling. Use this 4-5 times a day.
Turmeric: Take turmeric powder and 2 cups of water, stir them well to form a mixture of liquid consistency. Boil this mixture and keep stirring to make sure that no granules are left. This will form best eye drop solution which you can use to treat eye infection effectively.
Honey: Honey is a great ingredient available in the kitchen for eye infection treatment. Put 1-2 drops of honey in your eyes 2-3 times a day. You can make a soothing eyewash by mixing 2 tbsp. honey and 2 cups boiling water. Stir well and use 2 times a day.
Jasmine Flowers: Take eight jasmine flowers and add them to a glass jar filled with distilled water. Cover the jar and leave it overnight. You can use this water next day as a perfect eye drop for eye infection home remedy.
Coriander Seeds: Take 1 cup water and 1 tsp. coriander seeds. Add the seeds to water and boil it before using. This makes a good eye wash to clean your eyes and treat eye infection.
You must also follow some precautions so that the eye infection is cured soon. Avoid swimming till the infection is cured, as the chlorinated water is not good for your eyes. Also, keeping your eye very clean is of prime importance. Wash it a number of times by flushing filtered cold water. Make sure that the water you use is clean. Holding your eye open in an eye glass filled with water and blinking it is also a great remedy to cure eye infection, it will give a cool feeling to your eyes. You should not scratch or rub your eyes with your fingers or cloth, this will just increase the irritation. Also, you can use a cotton ball or a cotton bud to clean the watery discharge from your eyes. While using any of the above treatments, make sure your hands and the equipments you use are clean.
