Extreme Fatigue in Women
Too many and mental activities cause extreme fatigue. To know what causes extreme fatigue in women, scroll down.

Anemia
Anemia is the loss of healthy red blood cells in the blood. When there is a huge amount of blood loss due to whatever reasons, the person is said to be suffering from anemia. In women anemia is caused due to heavy menstruation, recent childbirth, multiple pregnancies or gastrointestinal conditions. Anemia can also be a result of vitamin deficiency. Anemia is one of the common reasons for fatigue. If a person shows any of these symptoms it is vital to consult the doctor in order to get the reasons for anemia diagnosed correctly. Once the problem is correctly diagnosed, the next step becomes easy. The doctor will prescribe the right medications like iron supplements and/or vitamin supplements or any other medications that are needed to treat anemia. In some cases, the medications might be required to be taken for a long period, if the case is severe. Regularly taking the medicines on time and eating a healthy diet will ensure that anemia does not lead to extreme fatigue.
Sleep Deprivation
Sleep deprivation is one of the several causes of extreme fatigue. Our body is used to a certain amount of sleep. There might be days which are too hectic and which do not allow the person to get the necessary hours of sleep. When this goes on for a few days, the person might feel extremely exhausted. The treatment to get over sleep deprivation is quite simple. The reasons for the change in the sleeping habits need to be ascertained. Once these reasons are clear, then the person needs to change back to the previous sleeping habit. If going back to the previous habit is not an option, then it is necessary that the person get used to the new sleeping hours so that she does not experience extreme fatigue and tiredness again.
Illness
When a person is ill for a long period of time, then she will be feeling tired all the time due to the medications and the toll on the physical health. Also, if she is in pain, then she might not be able to sleep properly which again causes extreme exhaustion. This tiredness can be overcome by asking the doctor to prescribe something for the pain or for deep sleep. Other ways to get rid of this tiredness is to get involved into reading or some hobbies which will take the person's mind off the illness. Also these activities may help the person feel good rather than tired.
Depressions
Another cause of extreme fatigue is depression, which arises as a result of hormonal factors, responsibilities at home and work and psychological problems. There are several reasons that can cause hormonal changes like menstrual cycles, miscarriages, pregnancy etc. which all lead to depression. Working women take care of the house and the office responsibilities which also leads to severe stress and ultimately depression. Changing or quiting the job that causes a lot of problems and stress is the ticket to deal with the depression due to the pressures at work. Apart from that, women face severe psychological due to prenatal damage, abuse, poor nutrition, infections and brain defects. All these lead to depressions. Taking proper prescribed medications from doctor and learning to deal with the problems may enable women to get over depression and eventually get rid of the fatigue caused due to the above.
Others
Other than the above, there are several other reasons that cause fatigue in women. They are poor diet, high level of stress and too much work. These reasons lead to lack of energy. These can be easily handled by eating healthy and changing the career if the current one is too stressful. However, there are other reasons like leukemia, HIV, fibromyalgia, and other such medical conditions that also are responsible for a high level of fatigue in women. A medical condition known as the chronic fatigue syndrome also causes extreme fatigue. If a person cannot put her finger down to the actual cause of fatigue, then it is recommended that she consult a doctor and get the necessary tests done to nail the cause for fatigue.
Balanced diet, exercises and dealing with stress will help to eliminate most of these reasons. However, if the fatigue persists it is recommended that the person should get a thorough medical check up done in order to find the right cause and eliminate it before it becomes a major problem.
