Almost all the wildlife sanctuaries of the country provides the shelter to the almost many species of the birds. Kanha, Bandhavgarh, Ranthambore and Corbett are the reserves that is famous for the tiger reserves. Similarly, Kaziranga and Manas are popular for the rhino reserve. The Gir National Park which is situated in Gujarat is the home to the Asiatic Lions and Periyar National Park in Kerala is having the major population of the wild Asian Elephants.

Money is also generated from the tourism that and is used in the conservation projects of the Indian Government in increasing the population of the endangered species like tigers, one horned rhinos, Asiatic lions, elephants and snow leopards. Wildlife tourism also provides an opportunity for the travelers of not only India but also from the different parts of the globe to treasure the Indian wildlife.
