Existence
Questioning myself.
Why was I born into this place?
Am I here for a reason?
I wish I could read it in another's face
Here is where I commit treason
What is the point of being alive?
Is there a true purpose or not?
The point for my struggle to survive
Purpose: to be reborn or not?
Wish I could know the truth of it all
It would be my greatest desire
Was there even an answer to call
Clear as a moonlight fire
Up above the clouds, is there another world?
On the edge of the galaxy, maybe?
The answer was something that should've been hurled
Surface: come to my mind, only that can save me
I have oh so many problems
Want to hear all the knowledge
An ominous being that can solve 'em
Answer to the question is not found in college
Who is the man that knows my being
Do you know where he is, sincerely
I wish to use his translucent seeing
Question him dearly to see me clearly
This is the pressure that haunts my dreams
Is it a normality? No, that cannot be
My fantasies taunt, that's how it seems
Cancer: that's what my mind is to me
This is the addiction that I must feed
Is it something that haunts your soul
My addiction is something we all should heed
Obsession: is the one thing that can make us whole
Now that you're at the bottom, read the first word of every line. Two more stanzas, yay!
