Exile of the Order Ch. 2 - Cave of Death and Shadow
Still working. This one's a little short.
I slept for what felt like years. My leg was healed except for a small scab that itched like crazy. I ate a quick breakfast and checked my supplies. I had a lot of water and food, but I needed more serum. The serum stops my instincts from taking over and making me kill people on purpose.
The serum itself is blood mixed with "Urak". A muscle relaxant found everywhere. The blood must be fresh and the "Urak" must be matured and chopped into a fine spice. I have the spice but what I need is the fresh blood. Tonight I have to hunt so for now I will sleep.
Before leaving to hunt I sharpened my blade and my shuriken so they were ready. My first kills were two does that were not fast enough to escape my shuriken. The next was a bear that wandered to close up wind of me so he was within jumping distance when I slashed at his head hoping to give it no pain. I succeeded in carrying the bodies back to the cave thanks to the fact my wings were healed.
After draining the corpses, eating my fill, and making a good three hundred vials of serum I was tired and needed more rest. In the afternoon I would get more food and water for traveling.
That afternoon I caught five rabbits and stored the meat. After that I did my sword practices and was ready to travel later that night.
