Exhaustion Symptoms
Exhaustion is another word for extreme fatigue. Temporary cases may not be worrisome, but if the condition becomes chronic, then there are all reasons to worry. This article helps you understand various exhaustion symptoms.

Symptoms of Exhaustion
As the name suggests, the primary symptom of chronic exhaustion is a feeling of being in a constant state of weariness, which does not improve with rest or sleep. This symptom could be accompanied by sleeping problems such as feeling tired even after waking up, problems concentrating or remembering things, headaches, pain in the muscles and joints. In some people, sore throat, pain that keeps relocating from one spot to another but without swelling, and swollen cervical lymph nodes could also occur along with exhaustion. To add to this, such symptoms tend to become worse with any physical or mental activity, which earlier might not have caused any sort of problems.
Causes
It is easier to identify the responsible factors for causing temporary fatigue. Some common ones may include improper sleep, overworking, caffeine or alcohol abuse, too much physical exertion, and medications. Fatigue could also point towards the person's eating habits, which most likely does not follow healthy norms. Psychological problems such as depression, anxiety, and stress are known to manifest through fatigue. Medical conditions could also cause the same. Common examples include fever, common cold, anemia, etc.
Speaking of chronic exhaustion, medical experts are not certain of what causes the condition. According to them, viral infections, autoimmune disorders, or imbalances in the levels of hormones in the body could be linked to the development of the disorder. Chronic conditions like cancer, chronic kidney failure, heart disease, emphysema, etc., could also be responsible but it is not certain if they are enough to cause chronic exhaustion.
Exhaustion Treatment
Temporary instances of exhaustion can be easily managed by a few changes in diet and lifestyle in most cases. However, with the chronic case, treatment is based on symptoms relief. Most people benefit from antidepressants, and sleeping pills. Antidepressants help people who are often depressed because of their condition. Moreover, these medicines when administered in low dosages, improve sleep and reduce pain. Sleeping pills are not readily prescribed, and are meant for those whose sleeping problems are too severe to be managed by lifestyle changes. Most experts recommend patients to inculcate exercises which are dedicated to their problem. These exercises should be supervised by a physical therapist. Psychological counseling is another approach which can offer a great deal of benefit. It helps the patient to work out methods which can help to manage the problems created by their chronic exhaustion.
Do not hesitate to give yourself a little time to relax and at the same time, seek medical aid and guidance, if you feel you are fatigued; especially when such a feeling continues for 6 months. It is not wise to ignore your health because of some tasks in life, even though they are very important. It is because of the fact that these tasks could never have been completed in the first place, if you wouldn't have been in good health. Remember, a healthy body always homes a sound mind and the rest follow in the right direction!
