Excuse Me Miss
This was a story inspired by a song my chris brown, I'm a new author, cut me some slack please?
"Hey tony who dat girl you checking out?" my friend Trey asked interestedly.
I looked in her direction and pointed her out. "I was looking at her five minutes ago. The girl with the curly black hair, black glasses, insane style."
My other friend Daniel looked and understood. "The one with the mega cleavage? Oh that's Amadea. Damn man, you ain't the first to want her. You want me you tell u about her smile?"
"I've heard it before."
"How about her style?"
"Too obvious." I said.
I was watching her from across the room, her curves, her newly cut black hair. She was the "nice girl". Everyone knew her; everyone wanted to be her friend. I had heard that she could cheer you up with a single hug. Hugs that I heard she gave out like free candy. Ever since moving here, she has passed by and I could smell the sugar and strawberries around her. Now she was here, in the gym with me. She turned to her friend and they began to walk away. Uh oh, she was leaving. I pushed through the crowd; this was my chance to get to know her, where nobody would suspect me. When I got to her, her friend smiled knowingly at me and made up an excuse to leave her. Jasmine, she was awesome like that.
She started to turn off the dance floor when I caught her arm. She looked back and saw me. She looked a little annoyed at first, but then she smiled and said. "Hey, how can I help you?"
This was my chance, I acted cool. "I don't know your name but, excuse me miss. I saw you from across the room and well, I don't have any other girl to dance with. You want to dance?" I smiled and begged her in my mind.
She smiled sheepishly. "Well, I uh, I was going to walk home actually."
I tried to use the words from Excuse Me Miss by Chris Brown. So I put on a pleading face and said. "I know your trying to leave but, miss; I saved the last dance for you."
She nodded and stepped closer to me. "Okay, sure ill dance with you."
I took her wrist then and we stood in the middle of the floor. This was the grad dance so everyone was wearing nice clothes. There was a slowish song on now. I held my hand out and she took it. Shaking her head.
"I don't really dance." She said sheepishly.
I grinned at her like I shared the same secret. "Don't worry about it. Just follow my feet." I put my arms around her and we both looked down. I counted it out. "One two step, one two step."
She was smiling, then she put her hands on my shoulders and we moved. The song got faster and we danced while holding hands. Her friends, also well-known people. Kyle, the B-ball and soccer star, Kevin his friend, and Jazz, her partner in song and dance, were standing by the wall, watching us. Kyle rolled his eyes and Kevin and jazz laughed at whatever they were saying.
Then the last song came on and she looked at me. "This is the song you saved?"
"Excuse me miss, but yes I did." I put my arms around her again, pretending this was more than it was supposed to be. Pretending the floor was ours, which it was, because everyone was watching now. She looked around and her skin got visibly darker.
I leaned my head down and whispered. "Don't worry about it, I clear it up on Monday okay?"
"Thank you." she whispered back.
"I'm tony, by the way." I introduced myself kinda late.
"I'm Amadea." She said. I began to wonder if she ever stopped smiling.
The song ended an eternity too soon, and we let go.
"It's nice dancing with you tony." Amadea told me, as she backed away into her group of friends.
"You too, bye, Amadea." I waved and followed everyone else out the gym front door while she went out the side with her friends.
Sorry for any errors. :)
