Everything Else 8

Oh dear! I am so so so so sorry for how long it has taken. I hate it when I'm reading a story and the author completely disappears. The sad part is I haven't had school for like 2 weeks because of snow. It's just been crazy around here lately. Whew! Ok so from now on I am going to try a lot harder to get my story out because, Tessa, I do realize just how slow I am. Thanks for the comment. This 'chapter' is kind of short but I promise to write more tomorrow.

*****DEVONS POV*****

On the way into the theater, I bought drinks for the both of us. Turns out neither of us like popcorn. We are seeing some chick flick. Normally I don't like them unless I want a good laugh but Jane and Mary insisted. Bridget didn't look too excited about it though.

"I don't normally like girly movies. I'm actually all for action movies. Although let me warn you that I always pick apart movies and always find something to laugh at."

"I think I can live with that." I grab her hand and pull her into the theater. I just keep finding more and more things we have in common.

Mary and Eric are sitting in seats towards the middle when we walk in and Jane has found some other friends in the front. We walk toward Mary and Eric but when we get to their row I pull her on up. I don't stop until we find seats kind of off to the side in the very back. I just wanted some more time 'alone' with her.

The lights dim and the previews come on. She leans over to me and says, "Previews and commercials are my favorite." It's weird but I know where she is coming from. They can be funny sometimes.

The movie finally comes on and I'm sick of it already but B is here and I can't just get up and leave. I look down and see her hand on the arm rest, palm up. I know when to take a hint. I put my hand in hers and squeeze.

By the middle of the movie we are laughing so hard I can't see the screen anymore. Her head is turned toward mine and she looks beautiful. I put my hand on her cheek and her laughing gradually starts to turn more serious. Her gaze is glossed over but focused on my lips. Once again, I can take a hint. I lean 50% of the way toward her, I want her to come the rest but she doesn't seem to understand that so I put my hand around the back of her neck and pull her to me. Our lips meet. It is a sweet kiss.

I pull away from her and her eyes are still closed. She opens them and the way she looks up from under her lashes drives me crazy. She leans in this time without my help and smashes her lips to mine. She has taken control of this kiss and I don't mind one bit. I pull her into my lap and luckily not many people are in this rather larger theater because I moan, unable to stop myself. She giggles and the way her body rubs against mine is intoxicating.

We have run out of breath so she rests her forehead against mine, gazing into each others eyes. I hear clapping and cat calls. I turn my head and see the lights have come up and Mary, Jane, and Eric are all laughing. I roll my eyes and unfortunately Bridget stands up.

"Hey now. We didn't ride with them. We don't have to leave when they do." I pull her back down to my lap.

"Yes but those guys kind of look like they are waiting to clean the theater for the next show," she laughs. I huff and puff but do eventually let her up.

We say bye to Mary and Eric. Jane is riding with us since we are neighbors. We make small talk on the way home but can tell Jane wants to ask B about girl stuff so when we get to the house I open their doors (I was raised a gentleman even if my family didn't end up so great) and then walk to Jen's while the girls stay by the car.
*****BRIDGETS POV*****

"So? Tell me!" Jane is practically hyperventilating.

"There isn't much to tell Jane. You know what happened last night and..."

"How did it go?" She cuts me off.

"Well it was.... It was ahhhmazing to say the least." We laugh and then she looks more serious.

"So you are dating right?"

"Nah. We live together. How awkward would that be?"

"Yeah but shagging the guy you live with isn't awkward at all." Jane is pretty much queen of sarcasm.

"Nope it isn't actually. It's just fooling around. You know friends with benefits except we stay in the same house."

"Bridget..." Jane says exasperated.

"Jane..." I match her tone. "It really isn't that hard to understand. We are JUST FRIENDS."

*****DEVONS POV*****

We have only just actually hung out but I think I'm falling for her already.
