Evelyn and Chris: Chap 9

"IDIOTS!" Hatrouse paced back and forward, blasting fireballs to the walls. He has a long blond hair that reached to his waist with a strike of red and muscle that rippled every time he walked.
Four Strigoi that knelt before him shook in fear, hoping that they would not be the next target.
"All of you are useless!" He screamed and blasted fireball to one of the Strigoi. The smell of burn skin lingered in the air.
"L-lord Hatrouse, please forgive us." The Strigoi kept their heads down; fear took over them as Hatrouse stopped pacing. He slowly turned to them, still stricken his face with anger. He drew a sharp breath.
"What did you learn when I ruled you over the Millennia?" He slowly came down the step.
Pace by pace.
"Y-you hate the Protectors?" Stuttering, the Strigoi looked up to Hatrouse.
"What else?"
"That you won't tolerate failure?"
"Exactly!" Hatrouse throws fireballs at them, straight to their hearts. Only one left behind. The Strigoi was lifted by an invisible force that drew him closer to Hatrouse.
"Well... it seem that you will be my dinner then." Hatrouse choked the Strigoi by the neck.
"N-No! Please don't! NO!!" Screaming and struggling to get free, the Strigoi clawed Hatrouse to be free from his grip.
"Shut the Fuck up!" Hatrouse bites the Strigoi's neck and drink the blood from the body. It was a gruesome sight for anyone to see.
He drank until there was not a single drop of blood from the body.
Sated, he threw the body to the other side of the room where in an instant it turn into silver dust.
"Aria!" he summoned. She flashed herself into her brother's domain within a second. She stood and held her ground proudly.
"What the hell happen?" He said through clenched teeth. He look at her like a hungry lion who's about to have its dinner. She rolled her eyes at him.
"It's your useless, pathetic Strigoi, Brother." He roared. It echoed in the room, piercing every ears.
"Don't test me woman!"
"Whatever!" She ignored him pacing around the room, grunting and cursing foully.
"Furious!" In an instant, Furious flashed to the room and knelt before him.
"Yes my Lord."
"How are the prisoners?"
"It is sustainable for the Draikan, my lord. They will be a good starter for the Draikan before they're unleashed." Hatrouse grinned evilly; with the Draikan's power in his hands nothing will stop him from conquering both the realms.
Draikan is the most powerful dragon ever exist, its power is not to be use in any conditions. The Draikan was one of the original creatures that was created to protect the world. But it went rogue and started to destroy every living things in the Earth.
It was once said that the Draikan powers was unleashed in the early age of humanity and almost destroyed the world. The Draikan was cursed by the gods of every pantheon, saying that it was an abomination to the world. It is to be put locked in the deepest part of the earth or killed.
But none of the gods have any idea on how to kill a rampaging dragon. It seems that all hope is lost before a man, named Kolos decided to trap the Draikan. He composed a melody that enchanted the Draikan and lure it into a deep cave. The gods helped Kolos to trap the Draikan by burying the entrance of the cave deep underground.
Since then Kolos and his blood line was appointed by the gods as the guardian of the cave, to prevent this from ever happening again.
"Well brother, sounds to me like it needed more human too eat. Or you can just give it your useless dogs to eat."
Furious growled, threatening to make a move on Aria.
"Furious, get more human to feed the Draikan. Once its unleashed there will be no stopping me from ruling the realms!" Hatrouse guffaws, like the thunder that rumbles outside the castle.
"Yo! C! Check out what I got! Blueberry pie with icing and spinach pie! Talk about heaven man!"
Chris looks out of the window, rain trickling to the glass. It has a calming effect on him. The gray clouds, the pitter-patter of the rain and the plants that looks fresher.
"I'm telling you man, Angela can cook! Bryan is a lucky dude!"
Chris scoffed.
"Bryan is a dickhead and a gay that's about to go suck Satan's cock if he dare enough to hurt my sister."
"Wow! Cold much? You make the Tundra sounds like a breeze. Dude! Seriously."
"Yeah whatever! He's still a jerk!"
"Come on, let's eat this delicious pie. It is freakin good." Chris jumped to his feet. He grabbed a seat beside Michael and dipping his finger to the pie.
"Aww man!! That is gross! Do you know where that has been?" Michael's face twitched.
"Hey! You're the one who invited me to eat."
"Eww!!" Silence filled the room.
"You're thinking 'bout her aren't you?" Chris stared blankly at Michael.
"Don't give me that dopey look man! You know who I mean."
"I don't know Mike, when I looked at her I felt lost, like I'm the only one in the world. Her hair fell softly on her shoulder and her voice it soothed me. I have seen a lot more pretty girls but her? She literally took my breath away! She makes me feel something that I don't know even exist in me! And I only had been with her for twenty minutes!"
"Man, you do not need pie! You need to see the doctor." Chris hit him on the arm, Michael squealed.
"Man that hurt!"
"Serve you right!"
"For telling the truth?" He shook his head and took a bite to his pie.
"Dude, lay off the pie! You're going to make a mess on the couch."
"Don't try to change the topic! Look dude, if this girl is making you go nuts, why don't you find her." Chris scoffed.
"I don't even know where she lives! How do you expect to find one girl in the entire state? For all I know she might have flown away to some other country and change her name!"
"Do you know her name or don't you?" Chris nodded.
"I'm telling you man, Fate have its way around people. You might not know it but she could be right next door to you."
Michael left him there and went to the kitchen. Chris lay on the couch, staring at the ceiling.
Angela and Britt had already gone out to fetch their parents and grandfather at their cottage up north. They left him and Michael behind to watch the house. Which is a boring job to do, but being the obedient brother he is, he stayed.
All of a sudden, he had a feeling that something is not right. He felt that She was in danger, Evelyn.
He jumped out from the couch and bolt to the door, running in the rain. He just need to get to her, what will happened to her if he's too late?
He did not know where he went, he just followed his feet and keep on running. Until he reached to a house with a four by four parked outside.
He did not know this house is occupied, this house usually vacant throughout the year. He walked forward to ring the bell. But before he could, he collapsed in front of the door step.
