Longoria and Parker became husband and wife on Friday afternoon at the Mairie (city hall for the 4th Arrondissement) in Place Baudoyer. A spokesperson for the 4th Arrondissement said, "They are married. They were married here by the Mayor of Paris, Monsieur Bertrand Delanoë." A church wedding and reception will follow on Saturday. Longoria, 32, wore a white tulle and sequin embroidered dress and tulle jacket by Chanel haute couture. French law required a civil ceremony and the religious ceremony will take place on Saturday at Paris’ Église Saint-Germain l’Auxerrois.
Longoria and Parker, 25, got engaged in November and said that they wanted to have a "big, happy ceremony with lots of family and friends" in Parker’s native France. A source said, "It’s going to be a fairy tale wedding." A source close to Longoria said that the "color theme" for the wedding is red. A friend of the couple’s said, "Paris is such a romantic city. They are so excited to get married there."
The reception is going to be held at the Chateau of Vaux le Vicomte which is where the movie Marie Antoinette was filmed. Around 250 of the couple’s closest friends and family are said to be on hand for the religious ceremony and reception. Guests include Longoria’s Desperate Housewives co-stars Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher, Nicollette Sheridan, James Denton, Ricardo Chavira, and the creator of the hit show, Marc Cherry. Other guests include Parker’s San Antonio Spurs coaches and teammates. Michael Douglas, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Sheryl Crow, Ryan Seacrest, Jessica Alba, and Cash Warren are also said to be in attendence.
