Eva Chapter - 6
Eva goes back to work at 'The Flower Shop' and gets confused, as Kelley tells about her weekend.
"Oh that MAN!" My mom screamed half hysterical ever, since I ended up telling her what had happened at the store, and for an hour I got to hear her go on.
Don't get me wrong I felt at the same and more, but hearing it over and over again gets a little aggravating.
"Do you have a pentagram when can call him and you can wring his neck." I said and I received on of mom's famous looks. "Sorry."
"It's just so careless of him putting you in danger like that." She said sitting down next to me on her couch. "If something happens to you, I would call him and beat him around till he changes his ways."
I spent the night at my mom's, leaving for work in the morning and never so happy to see perky Kelley.
I listened to her go on about her weekend with no trace of demons or demon activity just a fun-filled family picnic at the church. She even mentioned of some new member at her church and when she talked about him, a spark appeared in her eyes, so cute.
It was a slow day at The Flower Shop, we got an order from a retirement home for an upcoming birthday and the usual walk-ins, before it was time to close up shop.
Kelley invited me to some party at a lake that I turned down after her talk about the guy at her church, I decided to give James a call.
After a few rings I got his answering service. "This is James," phone leave a message and I'll get back at you when I can.
"Hey James this is Eva from The Flower Shop, I wanted to apologize for not getting back at you and for running off. I was hoping we could get together sometime, maybe lunch or something." Before I could add anymore the answering service cut me off and store the message for James.
I picked up milk and room deodorizer at a big name brand store. I'm not advertising for them they don't need it, and headed home. At home I found my couch and throw pillows stinking of sulfur, and I ended up throwing them in a trash bag to wash later. And used the whole can of deodorizer and lit a lot of candles to fight the sulfur stench in my apartment.
I took a shower after washing off the grime of the day and the cleaning, turning my radio up loud, you notice how many love songs are on there nowadays?
I couldn't decide my feelings for James all through my shower. I kiss the man and freak vowing to distance myself and ignore his calls and then after hearing Kelley I invited him for lunch?
I wish I had let Kelley take care of James that day, and yet I'm glad she didn't.
