Ethics and Ambition

What seems right in one perspective may not be quite right in another. Many people face such contentious dilemmas in their life. At times, the ability to take decision falters when there is a big time conflict between mind and the heart. Or is it an uncalled war between ethics and ambition?

Certain situations can actually be difficult to judge. Many a time, a line that demarcates ethics and ambition is not clear to people. Well, what is it that we call ethics? Ethics is a set of rules our mind decides for self. Those rules are never meant to be broken under any circumstance. But ambition is born out of passion to achieve. And passion rules the roost in a personality that is stubborn and aggressive and desperately wants to achieve what it wants.

Everything goes supposedly right as long as the ethics control and shape the ambition. The real problem crops up when ethics start following the ambition, where the word "ambition" rules over the morale of a person.

So when a question like "which is important, ethics or ambition?" rises, it definitely becomes a tough take no matter how much a person sides with ethics. Today an ambition is more often defined by the boundary of success.

How much ever, success sounds nice to hear, but feels better only when earned through the right way.....isn’t it?
