Eternity Has Only Two Choices

As people go through this life they have to make many, many choices, some of these choices are hard and some of them are easy enough, something that we have to realize is that eternity is very different; when it comes to eternity you will only have two choices and we all know what those are…heaven or hell. Which place did you chose?

A popular thing these days is the idea that God is going to let everybody in to heaven because He is a God of love; it is very true that He is a God of love but it is equally true that anybody who does not accept His Son as their personal savior will be sent to eternal damnation.

The Bible says in Romans 6:23 that the wages of sin is death, it also tells us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Another verse in Romans says that there are none righteous ,no, not one.

Every single person on this planet is a sinner and not only does this condemn us to eternal death, we deserve eternal death because we did commit sins, we are not perfect. We can’t save ourselves, (using our own power) from death…the cemeteries are there to testify this every day...

Now the good part, even if we deserve eternal damnation, all of us were on our way to hell, but God, out of His love for us, found a solution to the problem…eternal life. The last part of Romans 6:23 states; "but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord"

Now don’t start thinking that it is ridiculous for God to give something freely, it is only in this way that HE gets the glory that He deserves, if we had to work or do something for our salvation then it would not be a free gift any longer, it would be something that we worked for and therefore something that we deserve, which is not the case.

"But God commendeth His love for us while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" Romans 5:8;

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith "Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him." For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:9-13;

There you have it…God’s solution to our problem, we are on our way to hell, but God sent His Son to die for us, so that we could receive eternal life in heaven. All that we have to do is repent, let our pride go and ask Jesus to come and forgive us and save us, all that is takes is believing the fact that Jesus came and died, then confess (to God, through prayer) the fact that you are a sinner…that is all it takes, it is no mystical religious ceremony, no pagan gods involved, it is so simple that even a child can understand, get on your knees and tell God in your own words that you are a sinner and that you want to be saved, tell Him that you do believe that he sent His son…that is the firs step and most important. Afterwards, God will teach you trough the Bible how to walk in the path of life each day.

"He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar, because he believeth not the record that God gave His Son. And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life…" I John 5:10;

All you have to do is believe and do what God says. Those who do not accept Christ will go to hell, and they will suffer for the rest of eternity.

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

However, we are not to come to God because of the threatening heal, we should be aware and attracted by the great love He shows to us.
