Episode 3- Discovering The Truth part 1

[Shina gets in the car, Jin called shot gun, and Ayane got in the back; Shina drove from U.A.C. Headquarters back to the hotel.]
Shina: [thought about what Travis said]
Shina: "You can’t deny that there’s a connection somewhere."
[Ayane watches Shina in the mirror]
Ayane: "If someone keeps thinking so much, their brain’s going to explode."
[Shina snaps out of it]
Ayane: "I’m sorry I didn’t mean to bother you, it’s just that you were thinking so hard I had to say something."
Jin: "Just shut up Ayane, leave her alone."
[Shina shakes her head]
Shina: "No, no she’s okay."
Ayane: "Are you sure that, I wasn’t disturbing you Shina?"
Shina: "Yes I’m sure."
Jin: "So where are we going now?"
Shina: "We’re going to the hotel I’m staying at, and plan for tonight’s mission."
Ayane: "Will we all be staying in one room?"
Shina: "No the room I’m staying in has two conjoined ones, so you’ll each have your own."
Ayane: "Cool!"
[Shina’s cell phone rings]
Shina: "Hello?"
Damian: "Hello Shina, it’s me I’ve arrived at the hotel."
[Shina practically slams on brakes]
Shina: "OH DEAR GOD… WHY?"
Damian: "What a guy can’t spend a little time with his girlfriend?"
[Shina thinks to herself]
Shina: "Oh great he’s going sentimental on me."
Damian: "Well can I…"
[Shina gets sweat drops]
Shina: "… No, no it’s not that, I just didn’t expect you until tonight."
Damian: "I would have, but I just couldn’t wait to see you; so I took the earliest flight I could."
Shina: [Shina retort sarcastic]
Shina: "Great... I’ll see you when I get there I’m driving."
Damian: "Shina is there something wrong?"
Shina: "No I’ll see you when I get there."
[Shina hangs up]
Ayane: "Who was that Shina?"
Jin: "Ayane, can’t anyone have a private life without you asking questions?"
Shina: "It’s alright Ayane; it’s just a friend of mine who’s coming to stay with us awhile."
Ayane: "Oh, okay."
Jin: "It seems to me like you don’t want him to come to the hotel."
Shina: "Was it really that obvious Jin?"
Jin: "Yep…"
[Shina sighs]
Shina: "To be honest I really didn’t want him to come."
Ayane: "Why didn’t you, he’s your friend after all."
Shina: "It’s a long story Ayane, a long story."
[Shina turned in to the Kagenata Hotel parking lot; she parked the car and everybody got out and walked into the lobby]
Pedro: "Ms. Inymota, Ms. Inymota… Oh I see that you brought friends with you; this guy came in earlier and asked to open your conjoined suits."
Shina: "Thank you Pedro, this is Jin Kudoyama and Ayane, and they’re going to be staying with me for a while."
Pedro: "Welcome, welcome I’ll get someone to take these for you… I’m sure you all have had a long trip so I’ll leave Ms. Inymota to show you your rooms."
[Shina walked by Pedro and gets a short flashback]
Shina: "…"
Jin: "Shina are you okay, you look kind of pale."
[Shina throws a suspicious look at Pedro]
Shina: "Yeah… Yeah I’m fine, just a little tired that all."
[Shina, Jin, and Ayane get on the elevator and head upstairs]
Ayane: "Wow this hotel is nice… and the people seem to know you here."
Shina: "I don’t know how but the formality comes naturally."
Ayane: "Wait…WHAT?"
Shina: "Yeah, I really don’t know how they know me, but I just acknowledge it anyway."
[The elevator door opens and they all get off]
[Shina takes out her key and opens the door; Damian pops out]
Damian: "SURPRISE SHINA!"
[Shina sighs deeply]
Shina: "It’s not exactly a surprise when you call someone before they get here."
Damian: [sweat drops]
[Shina, Jin and Ayane walk in; and Damian shuts the door behind them]
Shina: "Well now that everybody’s here I’ll show you around, but first Jin, Ayane these are your rooms over here to so if there’s any problems feel free to come to me at anytime."
Damian: [whispers]
Shina: "Shina where am I sleeping?"
Shina: [whispers back]
Shina: "With me idiot."
Damian: "Oh… okay."
Shina: "So if you want to go and put your stuff down now then go ahead and I’ll give you a tour of the rest of the place."
[Jin and Ayane put their stuff down and come back out]
Shina: "Alright then, moving on… over here you have the pool, the dojo, the kitchen, living room, there are bathrooms in each of your rooms and there’s one here;
[Shina opens a random door]
Shina: " for those times where you feel that you can’t make it; but other then that you guys enjoy yourselves, unpack, and relax then later on we’ll all go out for lunch."
Ayane: "Thanks Shina."
[Ayane goes into her room to unpack]
Jin: "Yeah thanks."
[Jin goes into his room]
[Shina sighs goes into her room with Damian close behind and closes the door]
[Damian gently pushes Shina against the door and starts kissing her neck]
[Shina tries to push him away]
Shina: "Damian stop. Just stop."
Damian: "Why should I, you knew this would happen."
Shina: "That doesn’t matter Damian, now stop I’ve got work to do."
[Damian stops]
Damian: "That’s the problem Shina, you’re always working."
Shina: "You of all people should know why I work all the time; this isn’t a vacation Damian this is about business."
Damian: "I know, but I just want to feel like I’m part of your life that’s all."
Shina: "Damian, you always were part of my life; and you always will be."
[Shina walks over to her desk and sits down]
Damian: "I missed you Shina…"
[Shina stares at Damian]
Damian "Didn’t you miss me…"
[Shina thought to herself again]
Shina: "Great I don’t let him get what he wants… and the sentiment starts again."
Damian: "You sounded a little stressed out when I talked to you earlier; why?"
Shina: "Its nothing, let me see my laptop over there; I need to check something out."
Damian: "Not until you tell me that you missed me; and what’s wrong."
Shina: "Right now what’s wrong is that you’re always in my face; at the worst of times."
Damian: "Worst of times? What’s going on now?"
Shina: "Why do you think those two are here?"
Damian: "I thought you were just having company."
Shina: "No, It business…if you had told me three days before you came today you wouldn’t have to worry about me working now would you?"
Damian: "You always blame me."
Shina: "Because you usually don’t think ahead."
Damian: "Because it’s more fun not to."
Shina: "Listen, if you expect any real alone time, you would give me that laptop and let me finish. And I’ll probably be done in an hour."
Damian: [sighs]
[Damian gently hands her the laptop picks up the remote control and clicks on the T.V. He impatiently lies on the bed.]
[Shina starts clicking on her laptop.]
[Eventually Damian falls asleep.]
Shina: "Damian, I’m done…"
[Sees he’s asleep.]
Shina: "Never mind"
[Walks into the hallway and into the living room and sees Jin sitting on the couch watching T.V.]
Shina: "Got the plan done. Be sure you look over it and talk to me."
Jin: "No problem"
Shina: "Where’s Ayane?"
Jin: "On the balcony"
[Shina walks down another hallway to the balcony she opens the glass door. She sees Ayane staring into the sky]
Shina: "You okay?"
Ayane: "Yeah, I always do this."
Shina: "Why?"
Ayane: "Because, me and my older brother Hayate used to look into the sky when we was younger."
[Shina sees a flashback of her and her older brother]
Ayane: "What’s wrong? You’re pale again."
Shina: "Nothing…so where is he now?
Ayane: "He’s gone."
[Saddened look overtakes her mood.]
Shina: "You want to talk about it?"
Ayane: "It was a couple months ago"
[Flashback]
Ayane Narrating: "You see we had just moved up a rank in the U.A.C. and well our squad leader wanted us to complete a sabotage mission at Haven HQ. It seems that the U.A.C. wanted Haven out of business and to recruit their "more talented" people. That would put us at the top of the list. With haste we were in Haven HQ at the hour of midnight.
Hayate: "Ayane, there aren’t any guards around. So, you know what we have to do right?
[Ayane nodded]
Ayane Narrating: "Well we was able to sneak into the files on the Haven HQ. Just as we were about to destroy the files, Hayate was shot in the back by a silenced pistol. We see a woman with green hair in black clothing. She had a double bladed ronin sword in one hand and the pistol in the other. Hayate did his best to fight back but was easily over powered and stabbed several times. We was able to escape the woman with a smoke bomb. I did my best to save Hayate. But in the end I couldn’t. I wasn’t even able to take him to the hospital because I wasn’t strong enough. Hayate said "Take care of yourself. I’m sorry I couldn’t." Hayate died in my arms."
[Present]
[Ayane holds back her tears and sniffs.]
[Shina pats her on the back.]
Ayane: "Thank you Shina"
Shina: "For what?"
Ayane: "For listening."
Shina: "Does Jin know about this?"
Ayane: "Of course he does. Him and Hayate were best friends. That’s why he became my partner.
Shina: "Oh, well let me know when you’re hungry ok?"
[Ayane nods]
[Walks back to the living room]
[Shina presses her back against the door and thought to herself]
Shina: "She’s strong… maybe we aren’t so different from each other after all."
