Enter: The Environmental "Period of Consequences"

Have humans passed the global warming 'tipping point'? Could we have wasted so much of the earth's natural resources that there's just no going back? What on earth can you, as a website owner, do about it?
Global warming is happening right now. Make little of the blind confused people who're adamant that this is nothing to worry about. They are all wrong! The majority of environmental professionals are now sure beyond reasonable doubt that the rapidly rising global temperatures we are recording are to a large extent, caused by the human race's relentless craving for carbon based product.

There can be found an ever growing pool of evidence supporting the fact that the increasing worldwide population in addition to a commonplace rise in the quality of life is putting the earth's core systems under a humongous stress and strain. Some theorists are of the opinion that we have reached the critical moment already.

Others will go further and advise us that the flash point has come and gone. We're now on the cusp of a time in the history of our planet which Al Gore describes in his documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth", as "a period of consequences".

To put it another way time is not on our side. So then, we face an uphill struggle. The earth's climatic eco system is literally melting away with giant swathes of ice sheet sinking into ever warmer ocean.

Here is the major problem. Where previously there was ice, a large proportion of the energy radiated from the sun was reflected out into space. Because the ice sheet has been replaced by water, a large proportion of the energy radiated from the sun is being dissipated and the sea temperatures are rising at a worrying rate.

The heating of the seas melts the ice more hurriedly and the problem becomes larger. Most worrying of all, this is an exponential relationship and it's why the brains responsible for the computer predictions are warning all citizens of this earth of an awful fallout.

More forecasts advise us that gigantic areas of the earth's surface will fall to desertification. We're observing the start of this problem now. We're not talking about theory, it's happening. It's anticipated there may be 100's of millions of people displaced owing to desertification and ironically, flash flooding in other areas.

We're anticipating transfer of humans on a scale never before witnessed. The problems this is likely to cause worldwide are inconceivable. Our predictions are constructed from very many data sources and humans would be wise to admit to the fact that we are the cause.

Unless we all change the way we think this obscene gluttony could maybe eradicate the human race as we currently know it. The earth will go on no matter what we do, don't worry about that, but will you and I be around to delight in it?
