Enough (For My Dad)

So much alike yet so far apart (17 years). Let me know what you think…
All these scars show the battles I have lost,
And for every scar there is a cost
There’s a story to be told of all the hurt and pain,
And how it was you who put me through it again
The scars bleed deeper then the cuts on my wrists
Showing how you aimed for my heart but somehow missed,
You try to hurt me in everyway,
And because of this I hurt myself everyday
You have pushed me so far can no longer see
I can no longer feel pain and I will cease to be.
And to think that I’m your little girl,
You baby, your diamond, your little pearl
Goodbye dad I can’t stand your pain,
I don’t want to end up frail and limp
Bleeding from the wrists because you didn’t care
Because in years to come you will see,
That the little girl you lost was me
