Emotionless Poetry
Based from Women Work by Maia Angelou.
I got my thoughts to clear,
Then write a poem about a deer.
Find my pencil and my paper.
Consult a lady Draper.
I got to feel my own words.
Then listen to the birds.
I gotta' write my thoughts down
I gotta' publish the Crown.
I got my dreams to dream
Then think of a scheme
I gotta' find words that rhyme
I gotta' find some more time
My works never done.
Gotta' find another pun
I got entertaining to do.
My words have to be true
I got you to keep pleased.
My thoughts I gotta' keep seized.
My work is for you
My next book is due
And don't ask me how
I just it done now.
