Eminem Disgustedly Storms out of MTV Movie Awards

From Twilight winning a "best movie" award to Sacha Baron Cohen wearing a thong and ending up in Eminem’s lap, the MTV Movie Awards were quite raucous.
The MTV Movie Awards were anything but boring on Sunday evening, as Eminem entertained by performing two songs from his hit album "Relapse." Eminem’s live renditions of "We Made You" and "Crack a Bottle" were well-received, and the performer was in his name-dropping prime during the taut performances. Shortly thereafter, however, Eminem was rudely greeted by Sacha Baron Cohen’s new, flamboyant character "Bruno."

It seems that Cohen is searching for new ways to entertain, this time descending via wires from the back of the audience before landing face-down in Eminem’s lap. The rapper’s reaction, asking in disbelief, "Are you &*$% serious?" then led to bodyguards for Eminem pushing Cohen away and Eminem himself storming out of the award show shortly thereafter. Long on shock value, Cohen’s antics were more annoying than entertaining or, in short, in line with most of the "comedy" that he produces.

Lighter moments or irreverence during the evening included Andy Samberg spoofing "Slumdog Millionaire" and "Star Trek," former SNL star Amy Poehler receiving the aware for best "WTF moment" and Forest Whitaker singing a unique version of Samberg’s "D in a Box." In less antic-filled moments, "Twilight" won five awards, including best movie (this is, after all, MTV movie awards and not a serious look into the world of cinema), while Kristen Stewart won the award for best female performance for her role in the vampire flick. Said Stewart upon receiving the award, "I was just about as awkward as you thought I was going to be."
