Embarrassed Over School
About a normal school day turns downhill.
RING! The loudest sound I've ever known wakes me up for school. "Ugh." I said, walking to my closet. Only band t-shirts, and just, well, shirts. No sweaters or hoody jackets. A cold breeze ran against my neck, and I shivered. "Are you ready, Jackie?" Dad said from downstairs. My sister ran to her "breakfast seat" that she claims is hers. "No." I said. Since I always take my shower at night, I just slipped on my pants. Even though I was about 5 minutes late downstairs, I took my sweet time.
Dad's face was red with the outfit I chose. Baby blue, green, and pink neon layered shirts. And a blue plaid jacket with ripped jeans to match. "What are you wearing?" he said, nearly choking at his words. I wanted to say 'Dad, if you were REALLY a teenager once you should know this is how WE dress nowadays,' but instead I said: "My layer-shirts. Don't like?" in my most sweetest voice and got my bags. Dad's mouth opened, but no words came out. The bus had come, and he stopped and helped Linzy get into her coat. I rolled my eyes. Being 7 and not knowing how to put on a coat is special, really special.
