Everyone knows that the money is in the list and when it comes to a good email marketing strategy one of the first things you want to do is look at your opt in rate. How many visitors that get to your opt in page actually sign up? Is it 10%? 50%? Or maybe it's just 1%. No matter what it is, you can likely increase this by offering them something of value right away.

Now, it goes without saying that you should be offering them good content in your auto responder messages but what I am talking about is offering them something they can download right away - a free report. But not just any report, you want to offer something that really resonates with what they need. Something that will give them information that they are looking for right now.

In order to implement this email marketing strategy, you need to know a bit about how your visitor thinks. Consider they keywords that are bringing them to your opt in page and this will go a long way to telling you what information they are looking for. One way is that you can create them yourself. Of course, this takes time and effort but if you have a specialized niche there may be no other way. The report need only be as long as it takes to impart the information - 10 pages or less should do it. If you don't want to write it yourself, you could hire a writer to do it for you.

If your niche is not so specialized and you don't want to spend a ton of money, then consider using a private label report. These reports are already made and you can edit them and change them as you see fit as well as claim authorship. They are sold to many people but chances are your visitors have not come across the same report before. This is a perfect low cost solution to get a high quality report into your auto responder and increase your opt ins right away.
