Chapter 3
The men sat in silence while they rode down the street and turned the corner. The squat car handled turns well but Elisha, the dark haired officer, accidentally stepped on the gas peddle at the wrong time and they fishtailed, but Elisha gained control quickly.
"Did you see the look on her face? Didn’t you feel bad for her?" Elisha questioned Gordon. "Yes, and I saw how you..." Silence fell upon the car again. Elisha blushed and tried to push the thought of Sydney from his mind.
"What did Mona say about… you know...? I found the perfect place." Gordon thought hard and then replied, "Umm, yea she said that Mr. Grakin will meet us there with the bag." Once again the silence lingered. Then awkwardly Elisha asked the question, "When did she say it would happen?" Gordon pondered over the action of replying. When he made up his mind he boldly stated, "In three days."
With all the questions answered, Elisha continued to maneuver the car down the road at a shaky speed. Abruptly he turned a corner and the car vanished from sight.
