Eddie Murphy’s New Love

Murphy, 45, and film producer Edmonds have been dating "for about a month and a half" according to her. The two showed up together Monday at the New York premiere of Murphy’s new movie Dreamgirls. Edmonds was asked if she was happy and she reportedly replied, "Yes, very happy. We’re having fun." Murphy was divorced from Nicole Mitchell in April. The couple was married for 12 years and has five children together. Edmonds and her husband Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds split after 13 years in October 2005.

Murphy may be happily dating Edmonds, but has anyone told his former girlfriend Mel B. Just a few days ago it was reported that 31-year old Mel B. said of Murphy, "We’re in love…All [our] children have met and get on, too." Mel B is also reportedly pregnant with Murphy’s child. She went on to say, "I can’t wait to spend Christmas with him and I can’t wait to have this baby." Murphy and Mel B. vacationed in Hawaii together with his five children and her seven-year old daughter with ex-husband Jimmy Gulzer.

It was also reported that during an interview for a Dutch talk show, Murphy was asked if he was happy with the former Spice Girl "since she’s pregnant with your child." Murphy responded, "You’re being presumptuous because we’re not together anymore. And I don’t know whose child that is, until it comes out and has a blood test. You shouldn’t jump to conclusions, sir." Yikes! Guess we’ll have to wait until Mel B.’s little spice makes his or her appearance to see what the outcome of that one is!
