Eco-tourism is the latest form of tourism. Every nation is now emphasizing on it so that they can save the environment and provide employment to the rural people without hampering the natural ambiance of the region.
Eco-tourism is the latest buzz in the entire International tourism sector. Nowadays, very nation is emphasizing a lot on eco-tourism as eco-tourism means environmentally responsible travel that benefits nature and local communities.

Alike other nations of world, India is also giving more importance to Eco-tourism and promoting various exotic locations within the country as eco-tourism destinations. Himalayas: As the name suggest, Himalayas, "the abode of snow", are the youngest mountain ranges of world. Stretches from Jammu and Kashmir in north to Auranchal Pradesh in east, Himalayan mountain ranges protects the nation from the chilly winds as well as from enemies. Thanks to its unique topography, Himalayan mountain ranges houses diverse variety of flora and fauna. Ladakh is a land full of wildlife resource. It is a land which is famous for its glitzy beach parties, flea markets, thrilling water sports like surfing, scuba diving etc. Recently, government has taken keen interest and developed Goa as a eco-tourism destination. To promote eco-tourism in the state, Goa has some important wildlife sanctuaries and national parks such as Bhagwan Mahavir Wildlife Sanctuary, Bondla Wildlife Sanctuary, Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary and some eco-green gateways like Spice Plantations, Baravalem waterfalls, and Dudhsagar Waterfalls etc

Kerala: Kerala, the southernmost state of India is another important eco-tourism destination of India. Globetrotters from across the world comes here to enjoy a fabulous vacation in amidst the natural beauties of the state. Kerala, the God's own country is blessed with vast network of tranquil backwaters, serene beaches hemmed with lush palm groves, ancient temples, that are the main attractions. A backwater cruise or a sojourn in the various eco-tourism resorts is the best way to explore the culture of the state. People also comes here to treat their ailments with the help of Ayurveda, an ancient form of medical science.
