Echoes
This is a poem I wrote after seeing a homeless family with all they owned in trash bags in an old car that didn't work.
See the children in the street,
The crying children at your feet,
In cardboard boxes they call home,
So afraid, and all alone,
The tears they cry with my ears do meet,
They echoed loudly in the street,
Someone love me,
Someone there?
Someone please, Please,
Someone care.
The crying children at your feet,
In cardboard boxes they call home,
So afraid, and all alone,
The tears they cry with my ears do meet,
They echoed loudly in the street,
Someone love me,
Someone there?
Someone please, Please,
Someone care.
