The proverb "Prevention is Better than Cure" is so very true, and it is fitting with hemorrhoids, especially seeing that the preventative steps are so easy to integrate in our daily lives.

The first step is to identify the different kind of foods for hemorrhoids. All the fibrous foods such as bran, oats, fruit and vegetables etc..are an excellent source to avoid hemorrhoids. All fatty, greasy, starchy foods such as bread, rice, pasta, chips, hamburgers, hot dogs etc..are not good at all to avoid hemorrhoids.

The majority of modern society today has the tendency to eat only food from the second category described above because it is tastier to eat, faster to cook, cheaper to buy.

To avoid hemorrhoids the trick is to eat a balance of both categories of foods and if at all possible a little more of the fibrous foods.

The second step is to drink plenty of fluid on a daily basis. The recommended dosage is about 8 glasses per day. The fluid should mainly be water.

The third step is to do some daily exercise. This does not have to be tedious or exhausting. It can be any type of exercise you prefer, or even just as simple as walking around the block, or walking to the newspaper shop will suffice.

The fourth and last step is to evacuate effortlessly on the toilet.
