Easy Science Fair Project Experiments
So, the science fair in your school is round the corner and you are looking out for some easy science fair projects experiments. To get some ideas on science fair projects, read on...

Easy Science Fair Projects
Saturation Point Experiment
Saturation point occurs when a substance can no longer dissolve in a solution at a given temperature. This is one of the easiest elementary science fair projects and to conduct this experiment, follow the given procedure.
Procedure
Take a saucepan and pour 400 ml water in it. As the water becomes warmer, add a pinch of sugar to water and stir the water well. Repeat this process of adding sugar and stirring the mixture well several times. You would notice that, initially the sugar was getting dissolved much easily and faster but slowly the dissolving process becomes slow and at a certain point sugar stops dissolving in water completely irrespective of stirring hard. This point is known as saturation point of that temperature. You can experiment how temperature can change the saturation point of a solution or substance. To do this, you can heat the mixture and you will see the sugar dissolves much easily as the temperature of the water increases.
Photo Tropism Experiment
This is one of the easiest science fair projects experiments you can try at home or in school. It allows you to see the relationship between plant growth and sunlight. This is also one of the easy science fair projects for 4th graders. To conduct this experiment follow the given procedure.
Procedure
First, take a vase and plant some seedlings in it. Now, water the plant regularly and keep it in the sunlight. Once the plant grows a little, keep it in the dark room but continue watering it. After few days you will see that the plant has bent in the direction of the light. You will also see that the height of the plant has increased. To further study, how important is the light for a plant to survive, keep it in the completely dark room to deprive the plant from getting the sunlight. After few days you will notice that the plant is dead.
Capillary Action Experiment
Capillary action is the ability of liquid to flow against gravity. In this action, the liquid rises in a narrow space, such as thin tubes. To conduct this experiment you will need celery stalks, food colors, and water.
Procedure
Fill a glass with water. Now add the color and stir it well so that the color mixes well with water. Now take the celery stalks and place them in water vertically. After a few seconds, you will observe that the water is being absorbed by the celery and its rising up slowly, which happens due to the effect of capillary action. It occurs due to the intermolecular attractive forces between the liquid and solid surrounding surfaces. This is one of the science fair projects for 9th grade.
Artificial Fruit Ripening Experiment
This experiment shows the relationship between ethylene and fruit ripening process. For this experiment you will need ethylene gas and some raw fruits. To conduct this experiment, follow the given instructions.
Procedure
First, arrange for some raw fruits, say apples or banana. Once you get them take two baskets and the fruits in them in the same amount. Say, two to three apples each basket. Now, spray ethylene gas on one of the baskets of fruits and label or mark it. Keep the two baskets separately for around 24 hours. After that check how much the fruits have ripened. You will observe that fruits sprayed with ethylene will be more ripened that the fruits kept in natural condition. It shows that the ethylene speeds up the process of ripening in fruits. For more information science fair ideas for high school can be an enriching read.
Well, apart from these, there are a number of easy science fair project experiments that you can conduct. But make sure that you understand the experiment and the whole science behind the phenomenon you are explaining through the experiment. So choose the most interesting and easy science fair projects experiments and impress your teachers and friends with your knowledge about science. Best of luck.
