Easy Recipes for Ground Beef
After a hectic evening of work and driving kids around, you have to come home and make a meal for the family. You reach home and realize that all you have in your fridge is ground beef and a few other things, and you don't know what to cook. Here are easy recipes for ground beef:

Beef Hominy Bake
This is an easy to make casserole with ground beef.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 can chili with beans.
- 2 teaspoons chili powders
- 1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
- Yellow hominy, drained - 1 can, 20 ounces or enough for 2½ cups
- 2 tablespoons sliced ripe olives
- ½ cup processed cheese, shredded
- Take a pan and add some oil to it and heat it, to this add the onions and ground beef. Cook till the beef is brown.
- Add the rest of the ingredients except the cheese and stir well.
- Take a 2-quart casserole dish and to this add the beef and hominy mixture.
- Cover the dish and bake at 350ºF for 25 minutes.
- Remove the dish and sprinkle the cheese on top and bake, uncovered for 5 to 10 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1 tablespoon minced parsley
- Tomatoes - 2 cans, with each can being about 14 ounces
- Tomato sauce - 1 can 8 ounces
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Noodles - 8 ounces
- 12 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- Take a medium-sized dish and to it add the olive oil and let it heat. To this add the ground beef and let it brown.
- Remove the ground beef and the fat, till only about 2 tablespoons of fat is left behind. To this fat add onions and saute till they are a golden brown.
- Now add the parsley, tomatoes, tomato sauce, seasoning and the cooked ground beef. Cover and let it simmer for an hour.
- Take the noodles and boil them in salted water as per packet instructions. Drain and rinse the noodle with hot water.
- Take a casserole dish and grease it. Layer the dish with noodles, cheese, ground beef mixture and the sauce, just make sure the top layer is cheese.
- Bake at 350ºF till the cheese melts and starts bubbling.
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- ½ cup onion, chopped
- ½ cup green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can of 15 ounces tomatoes, diced and not drained
- 1 can of 8 ounces tomato sauce
- ½ teaspoon dried basil leaf, crushed
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano, crushed
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Pepper - a pinch
- 1 packet of 8 ounces Ziti or elbow macaroni, cooked and drained
- 2 cups of 8 ounces each Mozzarella cheese, shredded
- In a large skillet add some oil and saute the ground beef, onion and green bell pepper. Cook well till the onion is soft and the beef is golden brown.
- Remove most of the fat, leaving just a little. To this add the tomatoes, tomato sauce, basil, oregano, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Stir this mixture well.
- Next add the ziti or the elbow macaroni and cheese.
- Transfer all this to a casserole dish. Cover the mixture with cheese and bake at 350ºF for 30 minutes allowing the cheese to melt and bubble.
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef, lean
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1/3 cup green pepper, diced
- 1 can of 15 ounces tomatoes, diced
- 2 cups cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon chili sauce
- Salt to taste
- Pinch of pepper
- ½ cup Cheddar cheese, shredded
- Take a large skillet and put it on medium heat. To this add some olive oil, ground beef, onion and green pepper. Cook till onions are soft and beef is brown.
- Remove the extra fat, leaving just a little for cooking the tomatoes, rice, chili sauce, sauce, and pepper.
- Lower the heat, cover the skillet and let the beef simmer for 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle cheese on top, let it cook well till the cheese has melted.
