Easy Recipes for College Students
Easy recipes are necessary for college students since they have very little time to spend on experimenting with hardcore cooking. Read on for some delicious and nutritious easy recipes for college students.
Cheesy Chicken
Ingredients
- 1 can cream of chicken
- 1 can cream of cheddar cheese
- chicken tenderloins
- 1 cup rice
- 1 can cream of mushroom
Preheat the oven to 250°F. Cook the rice in a cooker and set aside. In a large bowl, add the chicken and pour over it, the can of cream of chicken, can of cream of cheddar cheese and can of cream of mushroom. Bake the mixture for around 20 minutes or leave it to cook in a pot for 2 hours while you go about doing your other work. Serve hot with the cooked rice.
Egg Fried Rice
Ingredients
- 75g of uncooked express rice
- Vegetable oil
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 100g green beans
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 2 spring onions, chopped
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
Cook the rice in a cooker and add to it the salt and half teaspoon soy sauce. Heat some vegetable oil in a frying pan and add to it the chopped spring onions and green beans and fry for around 3 minutes until it is fried lightly. To this, add the beaten egg and cook for around 2 minutes, scrambling it lightly. Add the cooked rice to this and mix well. Season with pepper.
Chicken Stir Fry
Ingredients
- 2-3 chopped chicken breasts
- Noodles or rice
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 spring onion
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- Mixed vegetables
- Soy sauce
In a frying pan, add the olive oil and sesame oil. Once the oils have heated up, add to it the onions and garlic cloves and fry until lightly brown. Then, remove the garlic cloves and keep aside. Add the chopped chicken breasts to the oil and cook for around 5 minutes. Add the vegetables to the chicken and fry for another 10 minutes. In the meanwhile, cook the rice or noodles. To the chicken and vegetables in the frying pan, add some drops of soy sauce. Add the cooked rice or noodles to the stir fries chicken and vegetables. Serve hot.
Boursin Baked Potatoes
Ingredients
- 2 Potatoes
- Boursin cheese
- Cheddar cheese, grated
- Salt
- Vegetable oil
- Sliced leek
Prick both the potatoes with a fork, mix the vegetable oil with salt and smear it all over the potatoes. Preheat the oven to 200°F and bake the potatoes for around an hour and a half. Remove the baked potatoes from the oven and cut them into half. Scrape out the inside of the potatoes and keep the skins intact. In a large bowl, mash the scraped out potatoes, add to it both the types of cheese and fill it back into the potato skin. Sprinkle some sliced leek onto the potatoes and return it to the oven to let bake for around 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and serve hot.
