Carbs aren't Bad!
I am not giving you this list because of the whole "carbs are bad" theory. Carbs aren't bad, the give you the energy you need to get through the day. The whole point of this list is because if you want to lose weight, keep the weight off, shed fat, or for maintenance of body fat, then you fat and carbs are what you cut back on first.
Why?
You have to have enough protein to increase or maintain lean muscle mass if you want to keep your metabolism high and if you want to ultimately burn a lot of fat. So, naturally that leaves fat and carbs. Fat, obviously, has to be cut back mainly because it has double the amount of calories per gram of protein and carbs and it doesn't take many calories to digest at all.
You really only need to eat enough carbs to support your energy expenditure for the day. But let's make one thing clear, you don't get overweight or fat because of eating carbs, you get overweight or fat because of having a calorie surplus consistently for a period of days, weeks, and months. That doesn't matter if it's carbs, protein, or fat.
Some carbs are better than others. You want to eat complex (natural) carbs and stay away from simple carbs and simple sugars.

2. Boneless skinless turkey breast.
3. Romain lettuce.
