Easy Guacamole Recipes
For all those who do not know what guacamole is, it is a very typical Mexican food, an appetizer dip to be precise, and one that is enjoyed by people all over the world. Made with ripe avocado, this appetizer is one that is simple and can be made in a lot of variations. Here are some easy guacamole recipes that you can enjoy.

Traditional Guacamole
Ingredients:
  • Lemon juice – 3 tablespoons.
  • Salt – ½ teaspoon.
  • Cayenne pepper – 1/8 teaspoon or a pinch.
  • Avocados, ripe – 3.
  • Sour Cream – 1/3 cup.
  • Grape tomatoes, chopped – ½ cup.
Preparation:
  • Take a medium sized bowl and to that add lemon juice, salt and cayenne pepper.
  • Now cut the avocados in half and remove the seeds with a knife and with a spoon remove their flesh from the skin.
  • Add the pulp of the avocado to the lemon juice mixture in the bowl and mash it well with a masher, but don’t make it smooth.
  • Next stir in the sour cream and blend well, then add the tomatoes.
  • cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 3 hours and serve immediately.
Roasted Chile Guacamole
This recipe includes one extra ingredient…roasted chilies for a smoking hot guacamole.
Ingredients:
  • Anaheim, Hatch or Poblano chilies, roasted – 4.
  • Avocado, medium and ripe – 4.
  • White Onion, peeled and chopped fine – ½ .
  • Serrano Chili – 1.
  • Lemon juice – 2 tablespoons.
  • Cilantro, fresh and finely chopped – ½ cup.
  • Salt – 1 teaspoon.
Preparation:
  • Roast the green chilies and remove their skin. Then chop these very fine.
  • clean and pit the avocado, after this is done scoop out its flesh and put in a large mixing bowl.
  • To this add all the other ingredients including the chilies and blend well.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or any other snack.
Szechwan Guacamole
This recipe is an interesting mix of Chinese and Mexican, but makes a great dip or appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • Avocado, peeled and pitted – 1 large and ripe.
  • Garlic, minced – 1 clove.
  • Ginger, minced – ½ teaspoon.
  • Five spice powder – ¼ teaspoon.
  • Sichuan hot bean sauce or chili paste – ½ teaspoon.
  • Sesame oil – ½ teaspoon.
  • Soy Sauce – ½ teaspoon.
  • Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon.
  • Cilantro, chopped – 2 tablespoons.
  • Sesame seeds, toasted – 1 tablespoon.
  • Salt – to taste.
  • Red bill pepper or tomato, diced – 2 tablespoons.
  • Red Onion, chopped finely – 2 tablespoons.
Preparation:
  • Take the ripe, peeled and pitted avocado, remove the pulp and place in a bowl with garlic, ginger, five-spice powder, hot bean sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, lemon juice and cilantro.
  • Mash it up with a masher and mix it well with a blender.
  • Add the salt, tomato and red onions and mix well.
  • Chill in the refrigerator and server with chips, preferably shrimp chips.
Taco Guacamole
Ingredients:
  • Avocado, ripe – 2.
  • Lime juice – 1.
  • Onion, chopped finely – ¼ cup.
  • Cumin – ½ teaspoon.
  • Chili powder – ½ teaspoon.
  • Garlic, peeled and chopped – 1 clove.
  • Tomato, deseeded and diced – 1.
  • Lettuce, shredded – 1 cup.
  • Cheese, shredded – ¼ cup.
Preparation:
  • After the avocado has been pitted, peeled and made into pulp, you need to add lime juice in a bowl and mix it well.
  • Add all the ingredients and mix well.
  • Garnish with lettuce leaves and shredded cheese.
  • Serve as soon as it has been chilled.
If you can’t get to Mexico, but want to taste Mexican food, tacos and burritos and chips with guacamole, then you have to do it the Mexican way. These recipes should help you in enjoying food in true Mexican style; all you need is Avocados and to have some fun, put on your sombrero.
