Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  • 12 ounces chocolate chips
  • 8 ounces caster sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 12 ounces plain flour
  • 8 ounces butter or margarine
  • 2 eggs
Preparation

Take a large mixing bowl and ask your child to mix butter with sugar till it becomes creamy. In another bowl, help them to break the eggs and beat with a spoon. Ask them to add vanilla essence to the eggs and mix well. Transfer the egg and vanilla mixture into the bowl containing butter and sugar. With a wooden spatula, tell you kid to mix it thoroughly till all the ingredients are fully blended. Add flour to this mixture by holding a sieve over the bowl and mix again. Let your child sprinkle 8 ounces chocolate chips into the cookie batter and stir.

Once this is done, ask your kid to grease two baking trays and pour the batter into them. Before baking them, the rest of the chocolate chips have to be added to the cookies. Place the cookie trays in a preheated oven at 350 degrees F and let it bake for fifteen minutes. Take out the cookie tray and keep if for cooling. Ingredients
  • 12 ounces flour
  • 8 ounces coconut
  • 100 grams margarine
  • 1/4 cup groundnuts
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond essence
  • 4 ounces sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

Ask your kid to grease the baking tin and keep them ready. He can help you by combining margarine with sugar in a large mixing bowl. In another bowl, let him whisk egg with almond essence. Then, ask him to add this mixture to the large bowl along with baking powder, flour and coconut. You can show your child the method of stirring initially and then let him do it on his own. Once these ingredients are fully blended, tell him to put in the groundnuts and stir again. Show him the way of filling the cookie batter into the greased tin with the help of a teaspoon and allow him to do for the rest. Bake the cookies at a medium to high temperature for 10-12 minutes.

Cookies with Banana

Ingredients
  • 1 large banana
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 8 ounces oatmeal
  • 1 apple
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 4 ounces white flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Preheat the oven at 325 degrees. In a small mixing bowl, ask your kid to mash bananas and add brown sugar and butter to it. In a large bowl, help her to combine all the dry ingredients including baking powder, whole wheat flour, white flour, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, baking soda, oatmeal and salt. Transfer the ingredients of the small bowl with the dry ingredients and ask her to mix them well. Let her add the chopped apples and nuts into the cookie batter and set aside. Just like in the other two recipes, ask your kid to grease the cookie sheet and pour the batter into it. Bake the cookies in the oven for twenty minutes or till they become golden brown in color.
