Camping out with your friends need not always mean you have to struggle to whip up some delicious food. Surprise your friends with these easy camping recipes.
The highlight of any camp is gathering around the campfire. A time to discuss events and interact with fellow campers, it is also the time to cook some piping hot meals over the blazing fire. Not everybody can be a homebody like Ann and cook beautifully to satiate hungry stomachs. Cooking, whilst you’re camping is a group activity and can be fun when you really plan it well.

Easy Breakfast Recipes:
Time to wake up and brace the cool morning air. Make sure you have a healthy breakfast that will keep you energized for your activities during the day. Do stock up the larder with some eggs or else simply get it from the neighboring farm. Here’s a simple way to hard-boiled eggs. You will need- Egg and Paper Cup.
Directions:
Place the egg in a paper cup and fill it with water. Create a space in the hot coals for the cup. Then place the cup in it. Ensure you boil it for 10 minutes. Remove from fire and your hard-boiled egg is ready to eat!
Breakfast Scramble:
You will need-
- 1 Lb. Bacon - (Fry and crumble the bacon before you leave your home)
- 1 - 32 Oz. Pkg. Frozen Potatoes
- 1 Dozen Eggs
- 1/4 Cup Onions (Onions can also be chopped beforehand)
- 1/4 Cup Milk
- Salt & Pepper
Melt the bacon grease. Use a large iron skillet for the process. Then, add the onions. Follow it up by adding potatoes and cook until brown. Now, add the crumbled bacon. Whisk eggs and milk together whilst the potatoes get cooked. Wait till the egg mixture gets slightly foamy and then pour it over potatoes. Turn the mixture every few minutes until eggs are done. This recipe can be cooked on an open fire or a camp stove. Use mushrooms, or peppers to beak the monotony.
Easy Appetizers:
Campfire Popcorn:
If you have some spare time before you gorge on your lunch, here’s a quick easy camping recipe to whip up an appetizer.
Place one teaspoon of oil & one teaspoon of popcorn in the center of a double foil. Fold the foil corners together. This makes it secure like a pouch. When sealing do ensure that you leave enough space for the popcorn to pop. Take a long stick and tie the pouch to it to hold it over the hot coals. Shake until all the corn has popped and season with butter and salt.
Easy Main Course Recipes:
Camp Fish:
An easy camping recipe when you do manage to catch fresh fish in the stream gurgling nearby!
You will need-
- Fresh fish
- 1 lemon
- 1 small onion
- Pam
- Aluminum foil
Baked Potatoes:
You will need-
- Sliced potatoes
- Salt and Pepper
- Diced onion
- Butter
Easy Desert Recipes:
Camping out does not mean bidding goodbye to good ol’ deserts!
Banana Cream Pie
You will need-
- One sliced banana
- Mini marshmallows
- Five smashed crackers
- 1/2 cup milk
Chocolate Roasted Nuts:
You will need-
- Shelled nuts (two-three cups)
- Brown sugar (1/4 cup)
- Butter (One tablespoon)
- Cocoa powder (Two tablespoons)
