Easter

Spring oh glorious spring
Melting away the winter blues
Rivers and lakes from the snow
Shining in the sun.

What wondrous joy
At this time
As the sun gets warmer
Awaiting the rebirth of the earth.

Soon it will be Easter Sunday
The church bells will ring
Marking the joy of Jesus’ resurrection
And of family gatherings
And new beginnings.

Of colored eggs,
Chicks and lambs
Bunnies hopping about
Doesn’t it just want to make you shout
