Easter Hymns

Considered to be one of the most oldest and important Christian festival, Easter is celebrated in commemoration of the rising of Christ on the third day after crucifixion. The festival mainly depicts the story of Jesus's last days in Jerusalem before he was crucified. According to the Holy Bible, Jesus had told his disciples before he was arrested that he would be crucified and on the third day he would rise from the dead. And as he had promised, Jesus came back to life on the third day and visited his disciples and followers. Hence, he did not die but ascended to Heaven to be with God, his father.

Easter generally falls in the month of April on a Sunday which is the third day from Good Friday (Good Friday, Holy Saturday, Easter Day). It is a day when people rejoice and celebrate as Jesus Christ, the redeemer, shed his pure blood on the cross to save mankind from sin and evil. On this holy day, Christians go to church, offer prayers, sing hymns, meet family and friends, exchange gifts, etc. and celebrate the love God has shown to them.
