Early Pregnancy Symptoms Before Missed Period
The early pregnancy symptoms before missed period are either overpowering or vague - naturally making you question about if you're pregnant or not. Keeping an eye out for these vital signs could help detect pregnancy within the first two weeks after conception...

The earliest possible signs of pregnancy may vary from person to person, and most women experience only a few of them at a time. It all depends on the hormonal state of a woman while undergoing bodily changes.
Symptoms of Early Pregnancy Before a Missed Period
- A slight but sudden dip in body temperature is normally seen on the day implantation takes place. If you keep a tab on your ovulation cycle and are constantly checking your basal body temperature as part of your planning, you'll notice that it stays high for about two weeks, without dropping.
- There may be lower abdominal cramps, where this may be misleading in making you believe that your mensuration is about to occur, but this is what is known as implantation cramping, when the egg latches on to the lining of the uterus.
- Sporadic bleeding may be seen in the form of pinkish or brown staining, a week or two after implantation, aka implantation bleeding.
- Morning sickness or nausea attacks occur a little after three weeks from conception, which can even happen during nighttime.
- Fatigue, tiredness, lethargy or even exhaustion may set in three weeks after conception.
- One of the most commonly witnessed symptoms by women, is frequent urination. A woman might feel the need to relieve herself every two or three hours.
- You'll feel the urge to chow down on junk food or caffeine-induced drinks.
- Mood swings are synonymous with pregnancy. Irritability and poor concentration are also noted symptoms.
- You'll notice that your breasts/nipples feel quite tender to the touch, or are sore. They could also swell up - looking fuller, and can weigh more. The areolae (colored skin patch area circling the nipples) tend to darken.
- Some women may feel extremely thirsty during the first few weeks.
- Heightened sense of smell.
- In some cases, women may experience indigestion, constipation and loss of appetite, coupled with nausea.
- Lower back pain normally doesn't set in until the second month or so, but some women may experience this earlier.
- Headaches and dizzy spells.
