Home Remedies
There are a number of earache home remedies for children that can help cure earache, ear infection and fever. Place a warm compress, like a hot water bag on the aching ear for around 20 minutes to soothe the pain and redness. Hydrogen Peroxide
For earache which is the result of excessive earwax build up, use hydrogen peroxide to drain out the wax. Use a needless syringe to pour some hydrogen peroxide into the ear, let it remain in for 10 minutes and then just tilt your head into a sink and drain out the wax. Repeat this procedure if required, or else rinse your ears with water and clean them with a cotton swab. Your ears will be free of wax build up and the ear pain will also reduce.

Oil
Pour some warm olive oil or lavender essential oil into your ears with the help of a cotton ball. Place some cotton in your ears so that the oil does not drain out and repeat this at least twice a day for quick earache relief.

Chewing Gum
Chewing gum can help prevent and cure earaches associated with pressure differences. The chewing action helps relieve pressure from the ears and prevent earaches.

Warm Compress
A heating pad set on a low temperature or a hot water bag kept under the pillow can help reduce earache when you sleep. You can also soak a cloth under warm running water, squeeze out the excess water and place the warm cloth on your ears for earache relief.

Rubbing Alcohol
For earache caused due to excessive fluid in the ears, pour a few drops of rubbing alcohol into the ear canal. This will help dry out the ear canal to reduce earache.
