Dying Slowly From Within

Your face still makes me smile
But the feeling afterwards is nothing I want
Everyday I still cry
When I see little reminders of you
It tears my heart
And shatters my shield all over again
There isn’t a day that goes by
That I don’t miss you
To my sorrow and pain
I still love you
No matter how much pain I inflect on myself
Or by the mere memory of you
You have gotten in and are slowly killing me from the heart.
