DWTS: May-Treanor Out, Kardashian Back In?

Will Kardashian return to the hit show in the wake of May-Treanor’s departure? ABC reportedly said the Olympic gold-medalist’s "condition will be addressed on the show." It has also not been confirmed whether or not Kardashian will be asked back. She is reportedly in New Orleans for her boyfriend Reggie Bush’s football game at the Superdome this evening. About being asked back she said, "If they ask me to, I’m available. I’m back home tomorrow. We’ll see." Kardashian was sent packing after last week’s emotional elimination.

May-Treanor, 33, reportedly injured herself during practice on Friday. She was taken to Cedars-Sinai hospital and originally it was rumored that she had broken her ankle, but now it is being reported that she may have injured her Achilles tendon. Sources say that she will have to undergo surgery. She was to be evaluated by doctors to see if she could continue with the competition. If she is out and Kardashian is back in it has not been revealed which professional dancer would continue in the competition, Misty’s partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy or Kardashian’s partner Mark Ballas would return.

Judge Carrie Ann Inaba did have some things to say about Kardashian after her elimination. She reportedly told People, "This could’ve been a great opportunity for her to blossom and show the world that she is more than just a beautiful face." She continued saying, "I don’t think she really understood what it was that she got into when she joined the show. It looks very glamorous, and it looks easy, but dancing is so athletic, and so difficult, and it’s not easy to improve each week, and that’s exactly what we demand from the contestants on the show." It will be interesting to see who will replace May-Treanor if they do not decide to bring back Kardashian.
