Dumbstruck

When I saw her eyes sparkling
My heart knew she is the one
I felt it's the closure of my suffering
I'm the earth and she is the sun

She smiled and asked me the way
I was wondering "does she reciprocate?"
I was dumbstruck thinking what to say
My soul said blithely she is my mate

Then it was the time to say goodbye
I longed to hold her smile so tight
My desolate eyes were about to cry
She faded away and became out of sight

She had gone but I was not to blame
She wasn't different, she was the same.
