Dubai is one of the seven United Arab Emirates and is by far the most popular when it comes to tourism. Traveling to Dubai as a vacation destination has become increasingly popular over the last few years with its attractive vacation deals, exotic history and culture and infamous shopping malls.

The population exceeds 1.3 million and has quite a mixture of nationalities comprising the population including Pakistani’s, Indian, Asians and many Westerners. This however has not deterred from the rich cultural heritage that Dubai has to offer. The official language is Arabic with Islam being the official state religion. Dress codes can be quite traditional especially when it comes to women, and Western women are encouraged to dress moderately.

Dubai earns most of its income through tourism and property development. It is considered one of the most expensive countries in the world, but affordable travel deals can still be found. The main airport in Dubai is the Dubai international airport which is also one of the largest and busiest airports in the world. The signature airline of Dubai is Emirates airline which is reputed to offer affordable airfares and good service.

There are many things for you and your family to do in Dubai. Many people go there to shop as the shopping malls are world-renowned, an example of which being the Mall of Emirates. Another popular activity to do is to take a camel ride into the desert or to spend a night at a Bedouin desert camp.

If you are looking for more cultural activities, consider visiting the National Museum or Hatta Village which is one of Dubai’s most ancient sites. Visit Dubai’s biggest Mosque, the Jumeirah mosque and marvel at its beauty. If you want a more relaxing vacation, visit one of Dubai’s gorgeous beaches and relax while you take in the scenery. The only thing to beware of is the scorching temperatures that can sometimes be reached!
