As with everything else in Dubai, it is almost normal to expect the unexpected. The notion of having an indoor skiing center in itself is outrageous, but to place this indoor facility in the center of a desert climate like Dubai is borderline insane. Someone, however, did come up with this outrageous idea, and someone built the facility, and today we have the Dubai attraction known as Ski Dubai.

Ski Dubai is located in the new MOE (the Mall of the Emirates). The mail is located on the Sheikh Zayed Road. The Ski Dubai attraction offers visitors the opportunity to both ski and snowboard. All equipment required to do either activity is available to be bought or rented. People in Dubai don't normally have jackets and clothing to combat the -4 degrees Celsius temperature inside the facility. So Ski Dubai also provides jackets, pants and whatever is required for the indoor conditions. They also have gloves and hats which you can buy also.

For an indoor facility, the slope of the indoor hill is quite large. According to the Ski Dubai website, it claims the be the "largest indoor ski resort in the world". The facility measures twenty-two thousand five hundred square meters. A two hour pass to the facility will cost you one hundred sixty Dhs and a 10 Dhs key deposit.

The facility keeps its interior temperature between minus one and minus six degrees Celsius. It offers five different ski/snow boarding runs of different difficulty levels so there is something for everyone. The longest run is four-hundred meters.
