This shampoo can be used for all hair types, but it is one effective dry shampoo for dark hair. You just need two ingredients for this shampoo; white flour and ground almonds, both ½ a cup. Simply combine the ingredients and shake vigorously to blend. If you are making it for dark hair, replace the white flour with cocoa. Apply this shampoo to your hair, massage lightly in a circular direction and then brush off. You are ready to flaunt your clean hair now!
Shampoo #2
This dry shampoo recipe calls for several ingredients, but only the ones which are easily available at home. This is one of the best dry shampoo for oily hair. Before applying the shampoo, comb your hair and apply the shampoo in small amounts, so that afterwards, you do not have to deal with messed up hair full of dry shampoo!
Add 2-3 tsp cornmeal or cornstarch to a bowl. Cornstarch/cornmeal helps to absorb dirt and oil. Add about 1-2 tsp baby powder to the cornstarch, this is for further drying and fresh smell. However, if you have dark hair, avoid baby powder, as it will make your hair look gray. Now add a 2-3 drops of castor oil or lemon oil to the mixture. These oils will help in cleansing the hair and also moisturize them. Apply this shampoo to the hair in pinches, massaging the head as you apply. Once you are done with it, use a fine comb to remove the shampoo. You can also try a vacuum cleaner, handy to pick up excess shampoo, if any.
Shampoo #3
Combine 1 cup of baking soda and ground oatmeal to a bowl. Just like cornstarch, baking soda also absorbs oil. Massage this mixture on your scalp, starting from the most oiliest part of the hair. Wait for a few minutes, so that all the oil of the hair is absorbed. Then using a fine comb, brush out the shampoo.
This was all about dry shampoo. You can try all the above recipes and decide the best dry shampoo for hair yourself. Though this is a good option for hectic schedule, it cannot replace regular shampoos and conditioners.
