Drew Barrymore Pregnancy Rumors Heating Up

Drew Barrymore is the latest celebrity to enter the "is she or isn't she pregnant" sweepstakes. In a photograph that was published by TMZ, Barrymore was caught leaving a doctor's office with her fiance Will Kopelman, carrying something that "appeared" to be about the size of sonogram images that are sent home with expectant mothers. Of course, the report fails to confirm whether the doctor's office in question was actually an obstetrician or if it was simply an imaging center, or something else altogether. But that's the beauty of the entertainment media - when in doubt, leave stuff out.

Barrymore has made no secret of her long-term goals regarding a family. In 2006, she told People Magazine, "Whether I have children or adopt, whatever form a family comes in, I would absolutely love to have it." Barrymore turned 37 on February 22nd, so she's getting close to the time where waiting too much longer to have children may increase her risk of complications. Not that such concerns are deal-breakers, especially with celebrities who have the financial means to ensure that they are receiving only the very best care and accommodations throughout their pregnancies.

Since the pregnancy rumors have started to swirl, closer inspection of Barrymore's appearance and mannerisms at recent events has offered possible support to the pregnancy theory. She's apparently been seen on the town in loose-fitting clothes - or at least in outfits that don't offer a clear view of her midsection. She also posed recently at an event holding her purse in front of her, as opposed to on the side (if that's not a slam dunk, I don't know what is).

Barrymore and Kopelman recently adopted a dog together from a local shelter, so they're going to have their hands full either way.
