Drew Barrymore & Justin Long Call it Quits

Barrymore’s rep confirmed the break-up saying, "I can confirm the split with no additional comment." Barrymore, 33, and Long, 30, first met on the set of He’s Just Not That Into You and reportedly hit it off. They were first spotted together last August at the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Three months later it was reported that Long even took Barrymore home to meet his family in Connecticut for Thanksgiving.

Barrymore was quoted in the March edition of Vogue as saying of Long, "My cheeks hurt, I’m so happy." It has reportedly come as quite a surprise to everyone that the couple has split. Recently Barrymore appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show and Long was in the audience. He reportedly said of Barrymore, "She’s the most compassionate person I’ve ever met." Barrymore told Winfrey, "This relationship is great. It’s healthy, it’s productive, and it’s supportive. It’s full of humor and a lot of fun." So what happened?

Long has appeared in such movies as Jeepers Creepers,Herbie Fully Loaded, Dodgeball, and Still Waiting. He is also the "Mac guy" in commercials for Apple. Barrymore has had a lengthy film career and starred in such hits as Music and Lyrics,Charlie’s Angels,Never Been Kissed, and Fever Pitch. Both Barrymore and Long have a number of different projects in the works. Recently they celebrated Long’s birthday in Michigan where they are both filming different movies. The movie that brought them together, He’s Just Not That Into You, is scheduled to hit theaters in February.
