Doom Before Bloom

A sad poem...
Doom Before Bloom
I confessed my love to thee.
Lots of promises were made by you and me.
Not that I believed those and gave myself up to you?
Least was our efforts to fulfill at least a few?
What went wrong between us, I failed to know.
But the animosity between us started to show.
To make mountain out of mole hill became our daily affair.
Stormy tempers’ clash aggravated the rough air.
To live under the same roof, our fights didn’t permit.
From within four walls, our dirty linen started moving towards exit.
To pull it in, we tried with all our might.
Alas! We couldn’t stop it from bringing us under gossip’s spot light!
That ill fated day gave us the worst of our life.
We ceased to live as husband and wife.
Our belated repentance had started to mock.
Both were responsible to bring our marriage on the rock.
Low tolerance level brought on us, this doom.
Our life withered before it could bloom.
One leg in grave, together we wanted to live?
"Better late than never" was to turn true.
But, destiny had a bitter-n – sweet shock in store?!
On the same day, we were declared ‘no more’!
