As for the naysayers, ignore them. There are always going to be people who will try to bring you down or try to discourage you from doing something. This kind of negativity is like a poison and needs to be eliminated from your life. True, you aren’t going to be able to avoid everybody. For all you know, your very own boss might try to discourage you, though I can’t imagine that if you’re working in the US and doing customer service. If anything, many companies actually pay for this kind of training.
