Don’t Go My Dear Sweet Friend

This is to my friend Colten Lewis who is going to the military after I leave from visiting Texas…if only he knew that I’m in love with him
Summer came to a final end
I just hoped our hearts wouldn't mend
But just as they did
Our love just had to end.

So here I am I’m at the airport sitting next to you
And we're saying our adios
This maybe the last time I see you
That’s why I feel so blue.

I don't wanna say goodbye
Cuz it feels like such a lie
And as you kiss me one last time
I hand you something of mine.

A cross to you
You say I love you too
And I just feel so damned alive
I don’t wanna slip away no not this time.

I wish this wouldn't end
Cuz its you I need to be with
Cuz our heart finally blend
So plz....
