Don't Choose Just Any Wedding Cake Icing You Idiot!

If you're not taking the choice of wedding cake icing seriously, then it's safe to say that you don't care if you're guests start vomiting after eating that wretched excuse of a cake.
It's amazing the amount of stupid people there are, especially when it comes to choosing the right wedding cakes and wedding cake icing.

There are simply far too many brides & grooms making poor decisions in regards to their wedding cake. If they only took a few minutes and actually learned about wedding cake icing choices, they would have been able to easily avoid seeing all those sour expressions on their guests' faces.

Icing For Wedding Cake, Your Options...

Rolled Fondant: As far as elaborate cake designs go, this is the icing to choose. It starts out smooth and can be molded to fit virtually any size or shape by the pastry chef. This icing is generally used as a "cover" for the cake due to the remarkably smooth & satiny appearance it creates.

The deal breaker for this particular icing is that it tastes pretty bad, especially in light of all the other icings that are available. In addition, it's also one of the more expense icings available, which is likely due to the fact that it's pretty hard to work with. Having said all that, the cake might look fabulous, but you'll definitely going to get a couple of "what did I just eat?" expressions from your guests.

Marzipan: A very tasty icing made up mostly of almonds and sugar. Can be used with other icings or entirely alone, depending on what you desire. Can be molded and shaped quite easily and is a common choice as decoration "glue". Marzipan wedding cake icing isn't super expensive, but it is more costly than the other icings.

Buttercream: This is the most common cake icing around. Buttercream is incredibly easy to make and easy to work with. Aside from that, it's also very cheap and quite tasty too. Can be infused with a variety of flavors (coconut, chocolate, vanilla, etc.) and may be used as a filling or as a frosting. The only real drawback to this wedding cake icing is that it bleeds (colors) easily. Temperature must be maintained and kept cool in order to avoid excessive bleeding.
