The title says everything you need to know, not a Lovecraft or Chambers fan? Play a little catch up read "The King in Yellow" by Chambers, the science is a little out of date but the plot is solid.
Who am I? Well you shall see.
I am the source of much depravity,
Told in a scaly book which brings insanity,
I celebrate that which you call decadence,
Confess if you like but there is no penance,
Your soul to me is the price of the decadent,
And it matters not to me if you are repentant

Follow me and perhaps I'll give you all,
More likely I will help to bring your fall,
Worship me if you like, be mine on the morrow,
Especially to those I love I bring great sorrow,

Didn't you know that all such things crumble.
