The Beagle is a smaller dog, that is great with children and they can be a lot of fun to be around. Beagles are submissive and not aggressive, but they are good watch dogs because of their wailing bark. If left alone they tend to get bored and will howl. Because they are very playful and because of their small size they are great for smaller children.
